A meeting between a representative from the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (FAAM) and selected Malaysian artists was organised by MARS on 7 April 2013. Mr. Tomomichi Nakao, one of FAAM’s curators, was in Kuala Lumpur on a mission to compile information on Malaysian contemporary artists, as part of his research for the 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale which will kick off in September 2014.
MARS feels very glad with the opportunity and hopes to establish further corporation with FAAM in the future. We would like to also thank all the artists who provided their time for this occasion and donated materials to our archive.
Let’s all hope that several of Malaysian artists will make it to the triennale!
